Offering oral surgery as a treatment option is crucial to optimizing your dental practice, allowing you to start handling cases that would otherwise be referred out.
This course is designed for general dentists who wish to learn minor surgical procedures and wish to re-familiarize themselves with basic oral surgery skills. Through a hybrid curriculum that incorporates theory and practical learning, you’ll learn essential dental surgery techniques for complex extractions and minor oral procedures so that general dentists can confidently operate on their cases.
By using pig mandibles, participants will be able to perform simulated scenarios, gaining hands-on exposure to procedures such as raising flaps, removing fractured multi-rooted teeth and submerged roots, and understanding appropriate suturing materials. All demonstrations will be done on a surgical operating microscope and relayed live on lecture theatre screens to show a step-by-step process for all procedures.
Participants are required to bring their loupes. All other equipment and materials are included in this course.
