Master Real-Case Scenarios with the NDECC® Simulation Course
Course Overview
The National Dental Examination of Clinical Competence (NDECC®) is the third official step in your journey to becoming a dentist in Canada. This two-day exam consists of two parts: Clinical Skills and Situational Judgement, and assesses the clinical competence of internationally-trained dentists or dentists trained in non-accredited programs.
The NDECC® Clinical Skills exam assesses dental skills and techniques in alliance with Canadian standards. This clinical portion is conducted on manikins in a clinical setting with specific infection control rules.
The NDECC® Situational Judgement exam focuses on problem-solving in work-related situations, in alliance with the 5 core competencies. The Situational Judgement portion of the exam includes written answer questions, speaking with a simulated patient/person, and answering questions based on video cases.
This NDECC® Simulation Exam course is designed to mimic your NDECC® exam experience. We offer two separate simulations for each component of the NDECC® exam; Clinical Skills and Situational Judgement. With these simulations, you will be able to practice these components while receiving invaluable feedback directly from instructors who have taken the NDECC® exam. This course is ideal for those who are seeking additional practice through mock simulations.
Participants can enroll in different combinations for each NDECC component and are not limited to a single or paired simulation.
